Views of Banff
You will notice a theme in these pictures. Mike is always holding Scott and I am always taking the photos. Since I carried Scott for the first nine months of his life, Mike gets to carry him for the next nine. :)

On our way out of the National Parks we got to see a train going through the spiral tunnels, which was built to prevent steep grades over the mountains. It is hard to tell in the photo, but you can actually see three parts of the train as it travels through the spirals.
Natural bridge on the way to Emerald Lake
On our way out to Emerald Lake, we stopped off to see the above Natural Bridge. We got to see this unexpected "natural" phenomenon. Jessica grabbed by camera and had the guts to take a picture. I figured if she was willing to show it off in public, she wouldn't mind a photo. We all had a great laugh.
This is Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. It was one of the few lakes not frozen over, so we were able to see the beautiful blue-green color created by the rock flour.

This was the walk to the Peyto Lake viewpoint. We are actually walking along a paved road. You can see the speed limit sign to the side. It was a fun walk, just a little slick in spots.

Scott gets his first romp in the snow...not sure he liked it all that much. I guess it's a good thing he lives in Texas.
This is bow lake, and like most of the lakes in the Canadian Rockies it was frozen over.
This is crowfoot glacier. You can see two toes and the remains of the third one.
